The course is specially desined to familiarise candidates with basic issues arising in financing projects, as well as risk analysis and risk mitigation methodologies

The purpose of the course is to understand what project finance is, why and how it is used. Students will learn what the necessary elements of project finance to include contractual agreements, technology, sponsors, risk identification and mitigation, sources of capital, financial structuring, the use of financial modeling and accounting considerations.On completion of the course, the students are expected to be familiar to look at a project financing as a viable financing option. Students would get a good knowledge about Financial, marketing and Technical feasibility of a project..

PREREQUISITES: Aptitude in finance and quantitative tools

SKILLS REQUIRED: Basic knowledge of financial analysis and investment appraisal tools like NPV, IRR etc.

Dr. Dhanya Alex

Dr. Dhanya Alex holds a Ph.D degree in Corporate Risk Disclosures from Cochin University of Science and Technology. She has 16 years of post graduate teaching experience with institutions like Christ University (erstwhile Christ College) Bangalore and Rajagiri Centre for Business Studies, Kochi. She is also a participant of Teaching Summer School organised by Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
