Finite element analysis is a mathematical technique used to solve differential equations. This course is an introduction to basics of FEA using ANSYS

Finite element analysis is a mathematical technique which is used to solve differential equations. For an engineering analysis there are 3 techniques, experimental approach, mathematical approach and empirical approach. FEA is a mathematical technique which follows numerical methods to solve the problem. Currently most of the design and analysis industries uses finite element analysis widespread. Wherever the experimental analysis is very difficult to perform, there we can replace it with finite element analysis. With the invention of high performance computing FEA now becomes very popular and can be easily applied to any complex analysis

In this course we will introduce the basics of FEA andwill shed some light on how it is programmed in the commercial and open source softwares. Most of the time people will search on YouTube to learn about FEA software. Unfotunately most of the videos are explaining about software only. The researchers and the student community need to get some deep understanding of fea to solve their problem. This course aims to build a bridge between theoretical understanding and practical applications of FEA
